MAR
Mr. Thomas Jacob
City Building Inspector
City of Orono
1335 S. Brown Road
Crystal Bay, MN 55323
Dear Tpjm,
4054) Dayside Road
Maple Plain, MN 55359
March 2, 1985
This letter is in response to your request for such a letter
to formally receive permission for occupenc- of our home while
completinq the construction project. We understand that this
situation is unique and we have designed this project so that we
will not adversely effect others while we are worl•. i ng on i t . We
R will follow our local buildinq codes and tho suggeslions you
might have to ensure a safe structure.
We have started the drywall installation in the basement
area and have the lumber ordered to frame the upper two floors.
Construction will begin March 4, 1985, weather permitting, and
the carpenter expects thc.- framing, roof, and window installation
to br completed by the end of April.
Our building site is secludod and not visible to our
neighbors, so that we will not detract from the esthetics or our
neighborhood during construction. If we do have objections from
our neighbors, we will worlc promptly to correct the situation
that caused the objection.
We have clear title on otir land and home and hope to keep it
that way. Our plans are to build a home we can stay in through
our retirement. 1 do not want to work against your system, and
will be glad to talk with you about any specifics on our future
plans, and/or, the reasons we have chosen this method for
building our home. We need your technical input and your
approval, so thot this building project will be a success.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Si ncerel y,
Gary and Mary Connell
