This will cause leakage when sealants begin to
dry and crack, and is also catching leaves and debris which
will hold moisture and cause premature decay of roof
covering.
The district inspector has informed you of these matters and
has stated that he is unable to secure compliance. This letter
is being written to inform you that corrective action is required
to bring this structure into conformance with the building code.
Since the codes enforced by this department are minimum in
nature, full compliance will ensure at least a minimum degree of
safety. Failure to make such installations can result in
conditions that may be dangerous to the life, health, or safety
of the occupants. The sole purpose of codes and inspections is
to eliminate every possible dangerous condition.
Corrections must be made before 10/6/86. If you have any
questions, please feel free to contact me at my office.
Sincerely, ,p
Thomas J. Jacobs,
Building Official
cc: Jeanne A.
