MINUTES OF THE
ORONO PARK COMMISSION
February 6, 2023
6:00 o’clock p.m.
_____________________________________________________________________________________

1:23:57
Berg agreed it's good that the public comes out and gives their views so that the commission can look at
the issue in different ways. But she said she is very disheartened by the misinformation and the
misleading information that's been disseminated. It's very hard sitting up here when I read that
information, and I have no way to respond because some things are really not accurate that's being put out
there. And that really is very disheartening. Because we're trying our best.

Roath said he also wanted to thank everyone who came out. People, you guys have your hearts in the
right place. You're trying to do the right thing. It's a lot of work to be up here and we don't get paid
anything. That people are intentionally spreading misinformation is really a disrespect for the effort that
we put in, and the time that we take away from our family and our friends to be able to do this. He urged
people to beware about what they are reading on social media, stating the best sources of information are
the Park Commission meetings and minutes, the City and the commissioners. He offered to sit down and
have coffee with anyone who is interested in talking about the issues.

5.
