A RESOLUTION ORDERING PREPARATION OF A <br />FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR THE INSTALLATION OF <br />MUNICIPAL SANITARY SEWER TO SERVE THE <br />EAST LONG LAKE AREA <br />WHEREAS, the project area was included in the recent MUSA expansion for sanitary sewer <br />sendees, a neighborhood informational meeting was held to discuss the project, and project area <br />residents have submitted a written request indicating interest in obtaining sanitary sewer; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Engineer has provided preliminar>' cost estimates for a sanitary sewer <br />extension; however, additional information is needed in order to establish the feasibility of such a <br />project; and <br />WHEREAS, it is proposed that municipal sanitary sewer trunks and/or laterals be <br />constructed to serve the East Long Lake area and that the benefitted propert) (s) be assessed for all <br />of the cost of the improvements pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of Orono, Minnesota that <br />the proposed improvements be referred to the City Engineer for study, and that he is instructed to <br />report to the Council with all convenient speed advising the Council in a preliminary way as to <br />whether the proposed improvement is necessar>\ cost effective, and feasible and whether it should <br />best be made as proposed or in connection with some other improvement and the estimated cost of <br />the improvement as recommended. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono this 13 th day of December, 1999. <br />ATIEST:Gabriel Jabbour, Mayor <br />Linda S.
