3 <br />TO Chair Smith and Orono Planning Commission Members <br />Ron Moorse, City Administrator <br />FROM; Paul Weinberger, Assistant Zoning Administrator <br />DATE:February 9,1999 <br />SUBJECT: #2398 Wayzata Country Club <br />Conditional Use Permit and Variance- Public Hearing <br />Zoning Dbtrict: RR-IB One Family Rural Residential District (2 Acre) <br />Summary of Request: Last year the Wayzata Country applied to the City for a Conditional <br />Use Perinii for upgrading the course to include: <br />1. Reconstruction, relocation or addition of tees for each of holes #1-18. <br />2. Reconstruction, relocation and or addition of bunkers along fairways and around <br />most of the greens. The bunker reconstruction also involved installing drain tile <br />outletting to existing ponds. <br />3. Expansion of 3 pond areas on the property. <br />The City approved a conditional use permit (Resolution #4146) to complete the work on the tee <br />boxes and bunkers throughout the Country Club. However, the conditional use permit did not <br />approve the plans for the ponds. The resolution states the applicant must return with detailed plans <br />for pond construction. Prior to issuing the land alteration permit staff is requesting the following to <br />be filed with the City of Orono: <br />1. <br />2. <br />3. <br />4. <br />Grading Plan showing a 10:1 aquatic bench at the normal water level. (Engineer <br />Comments) <br />MCWD Approval <br />DNR Approval <br />Corps of Engineers permit <br />The applicant has stated he has received approval from the appropriate agencies.
