The site is located north of T.H. 12 and south of the Luce Line trail
in the south half of Section 36. The ponds are located along the #6 and #12 fairways. We have the
following comments in regards to engineering matters.
• The plans do not show 10:1 aquatic bench at the pond normal water level as recommended in
our 2/4/99 letter. The purpose of the aquatic bench is to provide a margin of safety should a
child wander into the pond. The City has permitted the constmetion of ponds without the aquatic
bench on other golf courses in the City (Spring Hill). It appears that the proposed design is
acceptable given it is a private course and the ponds are at least 300-feet from any residential
neighborhood.
• We question whether the 4-inch outlet pipes shown for both ponds are adequate for a 50 or 100-
year storm event. We cannot verify the correct outlet pipe size without drainage and ponding
calculations. This may not be an issue as any flooding of the ponds and corresponding damage
will be confined to the Country Club property.
• The plans show a balance of cut and fill on site, we would expect that no excess material be
hauled off site.
• All temporary erosion control must be in place prior to the rt of construction.
Please contact me at (651) 604-4863 if you have any questions regarding this matter.
Yours very truly,
BONESTROO, ROSENE, ANDERLIK & ASSOCIATES.
