f-
MPETINQ
REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION NOV 9 2 1999
DXW
■: HITEM NO,
Department Approval:
Name Paul Weinberger
Title Zoning Administrator
Administrator Reviewed:Agenda Section:
Zoning
Item Description:#2398 Wayzata Country Club
200 Wayzata Boulevard
Conditional Use Permit and Variances
Zoning District: RR-IB One Family Rural Residential District
Exhibits:
A
B
C
D
Draft Resolution
City Engineer Comments (November 11, 1999)
Vertical Profiles
Staff Report
Application:
The Wayzata Country Club had submitted an application to the City of Orono for reconstruction,
relocation or addition of tees for each of holes #1-18. Reconstruction, relocation and or addition of
bunkers along fairways and around most of the greens. The bunker reconstruction also involved
installing drain tile outletting to existing ponds, and expansion of ponding areas on the property.
The City approved a conditional use permit (Resolution #4146) to complete the work on the tee
boxes and bunkers throughout the Country Club. However, the conditional use permit did not
approve the plans for the ponds. The resolution states the applicant must return with detailed plans
for pond construction.
The Country' Club had intended to complete the pond alteration last winter, but due to the timing of
the project the work was delayed until the winter of 1999/2000. The applicant has now received all
permits from the MCWD for the pond alteration.
This requires the following approvals:
1.Conditional Use Permit to permit land alteration to exceed 500 cubic yards per
Municipal Code Sections 10.03, Subdivision 19-21.
