(.34 acres) <br />Application: The applicants have proposed to remove old rotting steps on the front of the <br />residence. They will be replaced with maintenance free steps and a covered porch entr>'. The new <br />steps and covered entry decreases the amount of hardcover in the 75'-250* setback area. Also, the <br />applicant has removed landscape plastic on the west and south sides of the house decreasing the <br />amount of hardcover in the 75'-250' area. The requested variances are for: <br />1. Section 10.22, Subd. 2 and Section 10.56, Subd. 16 (L)(2): Lakeshore Hardcover <br />Requirements: Within 75'-250' of the shoreline there shall be no greater than 25% hardcover. To <br />permit a hardcover variance to allow 3,919.76 s.f. (45.4%), where 4,701 .76 s.f. (54.5%) exists, and <br />1,725.2 s.f. (25%) is allowed in the 75'-250’ setback area. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: <br />The Planning Commission recommended by a 7-0 vote to: <br />Approve the application as presented. <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br />To approve the enclosed resolution. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />To adopt or amend the enclosed resolution.
