The purpose of this action item is to amend Resolution No. 7322, the designated <br />appointments for 2023 by adding and appointing the City’s representatives for the Northwest Hennepin <br />League of Municipalities; and to add and appoint a Deputy Chair to the Orono Park Commission. <br /> <br />2. Background. <br />a. The council has shown interest in participating in the Northwest Hennepin League of <br />Municipalities (NWHLM), therefore at the request of the mayor, two members should be appointed to <br />represent the City of Orono at meetings of the NWHLM. <br /> <br />b. It has also been determined that the Park Commission would benefit by appointing a Deputy Park <br />Chair person to serve in the absence of the Park Chair at meetings. Therefore, staff has amended the 2023 <br />Annual Appointments by adding current Park Commissioner Cameron Porter to serve as Deputy Park <br />Chair. <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Motion to adopt Resolution No. 7355 <br /> <br /> <br />Exhibits <br />A.
