The purpose of this action item is to make appointments to the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />2. Background. The Planning Commission is made up of seven members who serve three-year terms. <br />In addition, the Commission can have alternate members. Commissioner Scott Kirchner would like to be <br />considered for re-appointment. Commissioner Gettman has not requested to be reappointed and has not <br />attended a meeting since 2020. Gettman’s departure leaves one opening on the Commission. Gary <br />Kraemer, is currently an alternate. He has expressed interest in becoming a regular commission member. <br />The other current alternate member, Dave Perterson has shared he has limited availability to attend. <br />Appointing Kraemer as a regular member would result in a fully staffed commission with no alternates. <br /> <br />3. New Applicants. We have received one new application. This individual was not available for an <br />interviewed in March, however staff is coordinating an appropriate time to interview the applicant at a <br />future council work session. This applicant would be considered for the vacant alternate position. <br /> <br />5. Recommendation. Staff recommends the reappointment of Scott Kirchner, new appointment of Gary <br />Kraemer as a regular commissioner, removal of Dave Peterson as an alternate and appointing Chris Bollis <br />as Planning Commission Chair. <br /> <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion to adopt the Resolution No. 7347 <br /> <br />Exhibits <br />A.
