& <br />September 22,1999 <br />To: The City of Orono <br />From: Roger Olsen <br />Subject: Renewal of Variance for my home at 815 Partenwood Road. <br />1 am requesting a one-year extension of the existing variance on my property due to the following <br />circumstances: <br />Several general contractors have turned down my project after initiating the bid process due to a <br />lack of time and their inability to get reliable commitments from their sub contractors. <br />After receiving a firm bid four weeks ago from a general contractor willing to do the project, the <br />price is over one hundred thousand dollars higher than my initial expectations and financial <br />ability at this time.
