Luzaich Residence
2490 Old Beach Road, Orono, MN
Application #2492
Dear Mr. Weinberger:
I have had a chance to review the revised planting plan for the R. Luzaich residence at 2490
Old Beach Road. They made the modifications that I requested in my letter to Mr Mueller of
July 13. 1999.
With these modifications they propose to plant 24 canopy trees in addition to many shrubs and
small trees. The average spacing of the canopy trees still a little tight. On average the trees
aro proposed to be planted 18 7 ft on center. Using the same analysis that I have used
previously the proposed planting plan will restore approximately 83% o* the estimated existing
canopy cover in the 25 year restoration period.
I am prepared to recommend adopt! >n of this plan with only slight reservatioris. By increasing
the space between proposed trees they could increase the canopy cover to over 90% and I
would have no reservations whatsoever.
I hope this is of help. Unfortunately, I am out of the office for the next three days and won't be
abiQJo answer any further questions.
incerwy
Peter J.
