MN 55356
RE: Review of Revised (8/1^/99) Planting Plan for R. Luzaich Residence
2490 Old Beach Road, Orono, MN
Application #2492
Dear Mr. Weinberger:
Yesterday Mr. Mueller ana l had a phore conversation regarding changes needed to his plariting plan for
the R. Luzaich residence at 2490 Old Beach Road for it to represent a full restoration plan under the
guidelines that outlined in my report to you of June 16.1999 and my letter to Mr. Mueller of July 15,1999. I
told him that the only remaining concern that I had was that his proposed plan with trees in their current
locations only would restore 82% of the estimated tree canopy that was removed within the 25 year
restoration period
In addition. I suggested that by taking r.vo trees that were largely redundant in the proposed plan because
the contributed very little additional carcpy cover and move them out toward the center of the property that
approximately 90% canopy restoration could be achieved. This morning Mr. Mueller faxed me a revised
planting plan with tflese suggested changes.
As a result I am willing to recommend to you without hesitation, that this planting plan be adopted as a full
restoration plan under the guidemes that I set forth in the above referenced letters to you and Mr. Mueller.
Please give me a call if you have any questions or if I can be of further assistance.
S\i y.
Peter J.
