We do not have a clear City policy <br />on street lights and need to develop one for the Council for their August 9th meeting. Your <br />assistance in answering the following questions would be greatly appreciated <br />1. What percentage of your City has street lights? <br />N/A <br />2. What percentage of your street lights arc City owned? NSP owned? <br />City owns lite on County Road 110 and on County Road 15. Also xn <br />new developments, NSP owns all others. There is a maintenance contract <br />3. i j^i&^%j>eration and maintenance of street tights funded? <br />Paid by street department annual budget. <br />3. How do you handle requests for additional street lighU in existing neighborhoods with street <br />lights? Who pays for any new street lights? <br />Residents request. Out of street budget. <br />4. How are street lights in new developments funded? <br />Developer pay for inital cost. It is than turned over to the City. <br />5. Tf your entire city does not have street lights, how do you decide which areas get street lights? <br />How do you handle requests to expand street lights to neighborhoods that are outside the street <br />lighting area? <br />6. How is public involvement and notification handled?
