Gappa <br />Title Director of Public Services <br />Administrator Reviewed:Agenda Section: <br />Engineering <br />Iteni «>escription: Resolution and Agreement Regarding the Use of Hennepin County's <br />Geographical Data Base <br />Over several years, Hennepin County has developed a computerized geographical data base that <br />includes information related to all Cities in the County. This information is now available to Cities <br />for use in developing a computerized mapping capability. This base mapping information will also <br />be used by Bonestroo Engineers in the development of the City's water and sewer mapping. They <br />are in the process of obtaining an agreement with the County pursuant to the City's agreement with <br />the County. The County requires a resolution and a conditional use agreement before releasing the <br />information to the City. <br />In 1995, the City entered into a similar agreement with Hennepin County. The County has <br />terminated the original agreement and developed a new "Conditional Use License Agreement." <br />We are recommending approval of the attached resolution authorizing the City to enter into this <br />agreement with Hennepin County. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Motion to adopt a resolution authorizing the City to enter into a conditional use agreement for the <br />use of Hennepin County's proprietary geographical data base and to authorize the Mayor and City <br />Clerk to sign the conditional use agreement. <br />i
