A RESOLUTION GRANTING <br />A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR A MEDIA CENTER <br />ADDITION TO THE ORONO HIGH SCHOOL AT <br />795 OLD CRYSTAL BAY ROAD NORTH FOR <br />ORONO SCHOOL DISTRICT #278 <br />PER MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br />SECTION 10.28, SUBDIVISION 3 <br />FILE #2500 <br />WHEREAS, Orono Independent School District #278, (hereinafter "the <br />applicant") on May 19, 1999, filed an application for a conditional use permit to allow a media <br />center addition to the Orono High School for property located at 795 Old Crystal Bay Road <br />North within the City of Orono (hereinafter "City") and legally described as: <br />Part of the North 1/2 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 33, Township 118, Range 23, <br />Hennepin County, Minnesota (hereinafter "property"); and <br />WHEREAS, after due published notice and mailed notice in accordance with <br />Minnesota Statutes and the City of Orono Zoning and Planning Codes, the Orono Planning <br />Commission held a public hearing on June 21, 1999, at which times all persons desiring to be <br />heard concerning this application were given the opportunity to speak thereon; and <br />WHEREAS, the applicant has applied to the City of Orono for a conditional <br />permit to Municipal Zoning Code Section 10.28, Subdivision 3 to permit the construction of a <br />7,800 s.f. media center addition to the Orono High School. <br />Minnesota: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br />FINDINGS <br />1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File #25(X). <br />2. The property is located in the RR-IB Zoning District, where 2 acres is the <br />minimum lot area.
