It was the action of
the Board to approve this application and grant a variance concerning the MCWD R::le
B requirement for a stormwater retention pond. Therefore neither a stormwater pond nor
a contribution m lieu of a pond will be required for this project. This action was based
on the fact that this project involves single family residences, total impervious surface is
minimal, and the potential for infiltration of stormwater runoff is high. The followinc
conditions apply: ®
• Reimbursement of mailing costs in the amount of $26.05
• Payment of Rule J fees in the amount of $79.25.
Due to the size and complexity of certain projects, the Board, by Rule J, requires that site
inspections be conducted. In these cases, the applicant is required to pay to the District, a
fee equal to the actual costs of analysis of the project, field inspection, engineering
services, legal services, and any subsequent monitoring of the work. These costs are
referred to as Rule J fees.
Once the above conditions have been met staff will issue the permit. You are reminded
that work on the project cannot begin until the permit has been issued.
Please call me at 471-0590 with any questions.
Sincerely,
Hafner
District Technician
c:Mark Gronberg, Coffin & Gronberg
Liz Van Zomeren, City of Orono
Steve Schmunk, Wenck Associates
