The residential portion of the house was to remain <br />on the property and be remodeled. However it has become apparent it is necessary to remove the <br />existing residence from the foundation and construct a new residence. The architect has indicated <br />the existing foundation is adequate to constmet a new stmeture. Please refer to the enclosed site plan <br />and survey which illustrate the existing house is entirely outside of the building pad on the property <br />with much of the stmeture being within 75' of the lakeshore of Lake Minnetonka. <br />The stmeture being proposed will make use of the existing foundation. It has not been determined <br />if the foundation will require additional stmctural modifications. The applicant is requesting <br />direction from the Council if the proposed project to raise the existing residence leaving the <br />foundation for a new stmeture meets the intent of the approvals granted on January 25, 1999. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />To determine if the complete removal of the house meets the intent of the approval granted in the <br />Resolution adopted by the Council in January, or if the applicant shall file a new Land Use <br />Application with the City to be reviewed by the Planning Commission and return to the City <br />Council. <br />Attachments <br />The City Council approved the item on consent at the January 25,1999 meeting <br />Planning Commission Minutes (January 19,1999) <br />Staff Report to the City Council
