ORONO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br />MINUTES FOR MAY 17,1999 <br />(#16) SELECTION OF REPRESENTATIVES FOR CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS ON <br />MAY 24,1999, AND JUNE 14.1999. <br />May 24,1999 - Berg June 14,1999 - Stoddard <br />(#14) OTHER ISSUES FOR DISCUSSION <br />Hawn reminded the Planning Commission members of the upcoming housing seminar on Thursday. <br />Gaffron stated that three Planning Commission members have indicated that they will be attending <br />this seminar. Gaffron remarked that a study was conducted last year of 12 cities and has <br />different options that the City of Orono may want to review. <br />Berg commented that she serves on a committee that addressed affordable housing and has not seen <br />any study. <br />Gaffron stated that this study does not specifically address affordable housing but housing needs in <br />general for this area. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Lindquist moved, Berg seconded, to adjourn the meeting at 10:30 p.m. <br />Elizabeth Hawn, Chair Person <br />i <br />Page 21
