The parcel is <br />located at the northeast comer of the intersection of the Luce Line Trail and Highway 12 (see the <br />attached map). <br />The parcel has 3 acres of dry land adjacent to the Luce Line Trail (and to a small portion of Highway <br />12) and 2.7 acres of wetland in the southwestern portion of the parcel. <br />Staff has indicated to the DNR that if the City has an interest in releasing the parcel, it would be <br />subject to assurance that the parcel will not be used to create an access to Wood-Rill from Highway <br />12. The DNR has indicated it has no intent to create an access at Highway 12, and intends to retain <br />the parcel in its current state. <br />The Council may have other restrictions to place on the use of the parcel if it is to be released to the <br />DNR. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Motion to indicate whether the Council is interested in releasing a tax forfeit parcel adjacent to the <br />Wood-Rill SNA to the DNR, with conditions if desired.
