Gaffron <br />Title Senior Planning Coordinator <br />Administrator Reviewed:Agenda Sectijn: <br />Zoning <br />Item Description: Extension of Adult Use Moratorium <br />On May 12,1997 Council adopted a moratorium on adult uses in all commercial and industrial zones <br />of the City. In May 1998 that moratorium was extended to September 1998. In September 1998, <br />the City extended the moratorium on adult uses to March 1999. In February 1999 the moratorium <br />was extended to June 15,1999 at which time the moratorium is scheduled to expire. The City has <br />not yet put in place an ordinance related to adult uses. <br />By State Statute a moratorium may be no longer than 30 months in length. Therefore, the current <br />moratorium may be extended to November 12, 1999. The attached ordinance extends the <br />moratorium on adult uses to Nnveml'‘^r 12,1999 to provide additional time to develop an ordinance <br />related to adult uses. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion to adopt the attached ordinance extending the moratorium on adult uses in all commercial <br />and industrial zones.
