Gaffron <br />Title: Senior Planning Coordinator <br />Agenda Section: <br />Zonitig <br />Item Description: #2372 Barry & Janiece Haglund, 4590 North Arm Drive West - Extend <br />Effective Period of Preliminary Plat Approval <br />List of Exhibits <br />A - Extension Resolution <br />B - Letter of Request by Applicants <br />C - Resolution No. 4096 <br />On June 8,1998, Council adopted Resolution No. 4096 granting preliminary plat approval of a plat <br />proposed by applicants Barry and Janiece Haglund involving the property located at 4590 North Arm <br />Drive West. That resolution specified that the effective period of preliminary plat approval expires <br />on June 8,1999. <br />The applicants have been in constant contact with staff regarding the City's acquisition of the North <br />Arm Lane corridor as a public roadway which will provide the applicants with legal access to the <br />property. That acquisition is nearing completion, but will not be completed before the June 8 <br />deadline for final subdivision application. The Haglunds have requested an extension of the effective <br />period of preliminary plat approval. Staff and the City Attorney concur that a 6-month extension <br />to December 8,1999 is appropriate. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Adopt the attached resolution extending the effective period of preliminary plat approval of <br />Resolution No. 4096 to December 8,1999.
