Amend Section 9.34 <br />April 22,1999 <br />Page 2 <br />Code Section 9.34 Subd. 2A currently prohibits above-ground tanks in certain zoning districts as <br />follows: <br />Above-Ground Tanks Allowed <br />LR-IB 1-acre Lakeshore Single Family <br />LR-IA 2-acre Lakeshore Single Family <br />RR-1A 5-acre Rural Single Family <br />RR-IB 2-acre Rural Single Family <br />B-6 Highway Commercial District <br />I Industrial District <br />PID Planned Industrial District <br />PUD Planned Unit Development <br />Above-Ground Tanks Prohibited <br />R-IA 1-acre Single Family <br />R-IB 1/2-acre Single Family <br />RR-lB-1 2-acre Rural Single Family Subdistrict <br />RS 5 acre Seasonal Recreational <br />LR-1C 1/2 acre Lakeshore Single Family <br />LR-1C-1 1/2 acre Lakeshore Single Family Subd. <br />B-1 General Business <br />Lakeshore Business <br />Shopping Center Business District <br />Office and Professional Business District <br />Limited Neighborhood Business District <br />Multiple Family Planned Residential District <br />B-2 <br />B-3 <br />B-4 <br />B-5 <br />M-6 <br />PRD Planned Residential Development <br />Staff has not had time to research the background as to why above-ground tanks were allowed in <br />certain districts and not in others. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Consider whether to adopt the attached ordinance which simply eliminates the B-2 district from die <br />list of zoning districts in which above-ground tanks are prohibited; qc table this for further staff <br />review as time permits (this is likely a critical issue to the two marinas that want above-ground <br />tanks; it is not an issue of priority in the current City staff workload). <br />( <br />i <br />I
