GafTron Administrator Reviewed:Agenda Section: Zoning Title Senior Planning Coordinator Item Description: Victoria Estates Homeowners Association - 1997-98-99 Joint Use Dock Licenses List of Exhibits A - Location Map B - Resolution C - Application Victoria Estates Homeowners Association is the owner of a joint use dock located in the channel at the north end of North Arm Bay. This joint dock use was approved in the late 1970's at the time of subdivision. There are 6 slips, one for each lot in the subdivision. Although created in 1979, this joint use has been licensed annually by the City only since 1984, the year that the use grew to 3 users, the threshold for requiring an Orono joint dock use license. Victoria estates did not file an Orono license application in 1997 or 1998, and staff had sent a number of letters to the Association representative of record, with no response. Apparently the association officers changed and the information was not passed on. However, the problem has now been rectified, and a license application covering 1997-98-99, including past due fees and late fees, has now been submitted. The City has received no complaints regarding this joint use dock. Staff recommends approval of a 1999 joint use dock license retroactive to Janua”’ 1, 1997, for Victoria Estates Homeowners Association. COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: Adopt the attached resolution granting a joint use dock licenses for 1999 retroactive to 1-1-97 to Victoria Estates Homeowners Association Proposed Motion: Moved by , seconded by , to adopt Resolution No.__, directing staff to issue a joint use dock license to Victoria estates Homeowners Assocition for the period of January 1, 1999 to December 31, 1999, retroactive to January 1, 1997.
