ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MINUTES FOR MARCH 22,1999 <br />/■^ * <br />this property. Jabbour commented the CHy needs to establish certain guidelines which should be <br />considered before sewer hookup is approved for any application. <br />Gaffron stated the findings of the City Council are incorporated into the resolution adopted by the <br />Council. <br />Flint noted this application satisfies three out of four criteria established by the Metro Council, <br />Sansevere moved, Flint seconded, to approve the sewer request by Edward Hamm, 485 Orono ^ <br />Orchard Road, based on the recommendation of CHy Staff, subject to sevrer hookup being Z. ^ <br />limited to the three existing dwellings with a deed covenant being executed by the Applicant *7' f ■ <br />stating that this parcel can be developed Into no more than three lots, and all costs of hookup <br />being borne by the Applicant. VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />v< "* <br />P IS <br />MAYOR/COUNCIL REPORT <br />Mayor Jabbour stated the meeting regarding the Dakota Rail to Trail was very positive and he is <br />happy with the outcome. Jabbour indicated they are awaiting the results from MNDot, noting <br />there Is a willingness between the parties to continue to cooperatively work together to make this <br />project possible. <br />Mayor Jabbour stated at the meeting he suggested that a committee be formed with Long Lake to <br />look at consolidation between Long Lake and Orono and to look at the long-term goals of the <br />two communities. Jabbour suggested that Jim Murphy. Mark Ingerson. Mr. Otten, and Mary Beth <br />Christianson be considered for that committee. <br />Flint recommended that the City look at appointing representatives from different sections of the <br />community to give the committee an overall view of the City. <br />Sansevere stated that In his view a representative from the Navarre area should be appointed <br />-u ^ <br />lOOsh <br />• ^ <br />r <br />s 7T <br />■» <br />t <br />/I <br />I.' 0 .s <br />9w <br />provided they are welt-qualined for this committee, noting that Rick Meyers is from the Navarre area.y j <br />Flint commented that the Casco Point area should also be represented.
