S. - Resolution <br />List of Exhibits <br />A - Resolution <br />B - Council Minutes 3-22-99 <br />On March 22 Council voted 4-0 to approve the request of Edward Hamm to allow his principal <br />residence and 2 caretaker/guest residences to connect to municipal sewer. Approval was conditioned <br />on limiting the sewer to just the three existing dwellings, with a deed covenant being executed by <br />Hamm stating that this parcel can be developed into no more than three lots, and all costs of sewer <br />extension and connection fees be paid by the applicant. Council directed that staff prepare a <br />resolution identifying the reasons why this situation is unique, and formalizing the limitations that <br />will be placed on the property. <br />Guest House CDP's Needed <br />In reviewing City files, it has been determined that the two existing guest/caretaker units have never <br />been formally acknowledged via the appropriate Guest House conditional use permits, nor has any <br />separate caretaker apartment in the principal dwelling been so formalized. Given the currrent action <br />to bring sewer to said units, it would be appropriate to condition £q)proval on applicant obtaining the <br />appropriate CUP for the guest units on the property. This has been incorporated as a condition in the <br />attached resolution approving sewer connections. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Adopt the attached resolution including findings and conditions for the approval of sewer connection <br />for property located at 465-485 Orono Orchard Road South per the request of Edward Hamm. <br />1
