This arrangement will require
controlling pedestrian circulation and limiting crossing points to minimize vehicular
conflicts and to reduce turf maintenance in the island. The plans do not indicate if
pedestrian traffic across the island will be restricted. The High School lot also needs
to Identify handicap access across the island and the placement of accessible ramps.
The Middle School west lot and drop-off drive and the High School event lot have
fairly large areas with slopes around 5 percent. This should be reduced to under 4
percent where possible.
O:\JOBS\1601\MIOSC399.MEWA399MIDSC.MEM
