MN 55113 <br />Dear Mr. OKeefe and Ms. Loken: <br />The preliminary layout for the upgrade of Highway 12 has been submitted by Mn/DOT for review <br />and comment. Although Orono has had a number of meetings and ongoing communication Avith <br />Mn/DOT staff regarding Orono's objectives and key issues regarding the preliminary layout, Orono <br />is submitting the following comments for Mn/DOT's official record. The City’s comments are in <br />three sections: <br />1. Objectives <br />2. Comments <br />3. Principles to Guide the Process of Developing a Final Design. <br />Ut <br />The City has supported moving forward with the preliminary design based on positive working <br />relationships with Mn/DOT staff, and confidence that Mn/DOT staff are committed to working with <br />the City to meet its objectives related to the roadway design. <br />J
