Lot History: <br />On July 27,1981 the Orono City Council adopted Resolution Number 1300 denyin^ ifter-the-fact <br />variances to permit major structural repairs to a lakeside boathouse that existed on this property. Mr. <br />Ericson had started repairs to the boathouse without obtaining permits for the work. A stop work <br />order was issued by the City requiring Mr. Ericson to apply for variances to permit the work. At the <br />time the stop work order was granted the top story of the structure had been elevated and the <br />foundation was removed from below. <br />The Code does not allow major repair for non-conforming structures. They are allowed to continue <br />until the useful life of the structure has been exhausted, 'fhe City Council denied after-the-fact <br />variances. Resolution Number 1300 is attached to this report for your review.
