FEB 2 2 ISUi <br />v^i I I wr <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION <br />OF ORONO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 278 <br />HELD ON JANUfiRY 25, 1999 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Education of Orono Independent <br />School District No. 278 was held on Monday, January 25, 1999. <br />Present: Jack Veach <br />Dick Lewis <br />Peg Swanson <br />Martha Van de Ven <br />Dave McKown <br />Thomas Mich <br />Neal Lawson <br />Board member Maresh arrived while the meeting was in progress. <br />UPON MOTION by Dick Lewis, seconded by Martha Van de Ven, the <br />consent agenda was approved as follows: <br />- approved the minutes of the December 1, 1998 regular <br />meeting; <br />- approved the minutes of the December 10, 1998 regular <br />meeting; <br />- approved the minutes of the January 11, 1999 regular <br />meeting; <br />- approved the request of Maggie Knutson, Orono Middle <br />School teacher, for an extended child care leave <br />beginning June 1, 1999 for the remainder of the school <br />year; <br />accepted the resignation of Jane Dorn, Orono Middle <br />School media specialist, effective at the end of the <br />1998- 99 school year; <br />- approved the appointment of Jeanne Truax as a <br />paraprofessional at Orono Middle School; <br />- approved the appointment of Eric Olson as a <br />paraprofessional at Schumann Elementary School; <br />- approved the request of Sara Engel to continue her <br />special assignment to the Ridgedale Alternative Program, <br />operated by Intermediate School District 287, for the <br />1999- 2000 school year; <br />approved the Activity Fund Quarterly Report, October - <br />December, 1998; <br />- approved the bills as covered by vouchers 107931 through <br />108170.
