Deleted 'Antenna or antenna structures' from the list of structures that could be allowed 50% <br />height increase via CUP in Section 10.75 ("Height of Structures") Subd. 1. <br />Functional Impacts of Items 1-15 <br />The impact of item 1 is to define the various telecommunication terms. <br />The impact of items 2-3-8-12-13 is that "personal wireless service and commercial broadcast <br />antennas" will nol be considered as public service structures, and therefore do not fall under the <br />public service structures CUP. <br />The impact of items 4-5-6 is that Accessory Antennas are now an allowed accessory use in the R-1A <br />(and in all other R districts that refer back to the R-1 A accessory uses) subject to detailed <br />regulations; and that Amateur Short Wave Radio Antennas and Towers which do not qualify as <br />accessory antennas mav ^)e allowed via a CUP if they meet certain standards. <br />The impact of item 7 is that Personal Wireless Service Antennas and Towers are allowed as a highlv- <br />regulated permitted use in RR-IB and RR-lB-1. only when placed on a municipal structure (i.e. the <br />water tower near City Offices). <br />The impact of item j 9-10 is that Anterma Structures are no longer allowed as a conditional use in the <br />B-1 District, and Antennas are no longer allowed as an accessory' use in B-1. These two items act <br />to make all existing B-1, C-3, B-4, B-6 and T district antennas non-conforming, and make B-1 <br />and B-3 antenna structures non-conforming. This is because no new Accessory Antenna provisions <br />were adopted for B-1. Section 3 of the proposed ordinance y\ill take care of this problem by <br />allowing accessory antennas and amateur short-wave antennas/towers in these "B" districts under <br />the same conditions they are allowed in the Residential districts.
