1999 GOALS <br />1.Highway 12 upgrade project. <br />A. Ensure the City's concerns related to the preliminary design arc addressed. <br />B. Complete the noisc/vibration study. <br />C. Work with Mn/DOT regarding right-of-way acquisition. <br />1) Total vs. partial taking. <br />2) Hardship acquisition. <br />D. Ensure the City's concerns regarding the management of stormwater runoff along the <br />corridor, particularly the proposed ponding area in the City's industrial district, arc <br />addressed. <br />E. Close and cul-de-sac Stubbs Bay Road. <br />2. <br />3. <br />4. <br />Update the City’s Comprehensive Plan. <br />Update the City's Zoning Code. <br />Work with the City of Long Lake to develop a Joint vision for the future of the two cities in <br />relation to development and redevelopment along Highway 12. and along the continuum <br />from cooperation to consolidation. <br />5.Participate in the planning for the design and relocation of the Long Lake fire station. Ensure <br />the building enables the Long Lake Fire Department to effectively meet the current and <br />future needs of Orono. and ensure the building meets the priority needs of the Fire <br />Department at a reasonable cost to Orono. <br />6.Provide for an alternate brush disposal site. <br />A. Land adjacent to the City facilities. <br />B. Otlier options. <br />7. <br />8. <br />Make park land acquisition decisions. <br />A. Eisinger property - ballfields. <br />B. Paul Larson property west of Tonka Ventures. <br />Develop the necessary support and readiness of the Cities along the Dakota Rail Line and <br />Hennepin Parks for the conversion of the Dakota Rail Line to a Regional Trail. <br />9. Provide Internet access to City staff. <br />10. Provide a City web site. <br />11. Dcvelop/clarify the City's policy regarding the c.xtension of sewer to individual properties <br />and neighborhoods.
