Gehrman <br />4300 Sixth Avenue North <br />Variance-Public Hearing <br />Zoning District:RR-IA <br />Lot Area: <br />One Family Rural Residential District (5 Acre) <br />10 acres+ <br />Application:The applicant has been issued a building permit to construct a 36 ’ by 77' <br />accessory structure on his property. The building would be located near an <br />existing 20' by 60' accessory building. Both buildings are located well <br />behind the principal residence in the Rural Residential Zoning District. The <br />new structure was designed to be located 10' from the bam on the property. <br />City Code requires a minimum distance of 10' between structures. <br />After the building permit was issued the applicant contacted the City about <br />connecting both structures with a 10' by 10' walkway. By connecting the <br />stmetures both buildings would be considered one structure. The maximum <br />allowed accessory stmeture on a lot larger than 9 acres is 3,000 s.f.
