Subd. 6 (I) <br />D - Highway 12 Corridor Excerpt from 2000-2020 CMP <br />The landscaping and architectural standards being incorporated into the RPUD District can be <br />equally applicable to the B-6 Commercial District. The B-6 landscaping standards in place are <br />relatively minimal, contained in Subd. 6 (H), (K), (L) and (M) as follows: <br />H.At least twenty five percent (25%) of the land area shall be landscaped with <br />grass, approved ground cover, shrubbery and trees. At least three percent (3%) of the land <br />area within a parking area shall be landscaped. <br />The following minimum sizes shall be required at the time ofplanting" <br />Overstory Deciduous Trees <br />Ornamental Trees <br />Coniferous Trees <br />Major Shrub Plantings <br />2-1/2 inches in diameter <br />1-1/2 inches in diameter <br />6 feet tall <br />5 gallons <br />1.All trash and trash handling equipment shall be stored within the principal <br />structure, within an attached structure accessible from within the principal structure, or <br />totally screenedfrom eye-level viewfrom public streets and adjacent residential properties. <br />If accessory structures are proposed, they shall be constructed ofthe same building material <br />as the principal structure and be readily served through swinging doors. <br />K.The ground level view of all mechanical utilities shall be completely screened <br />from contiguous properties and adjacent streets, or designed to be compatible with the <br />architectural treatment of the urincipal structure. <br />L.External loading and service areas must be completely screened from the ground <br />level viewfrom contiguous residential or commercial properties and adjacent streets, except <br />at access points.
