Box 66 <br />Orono, MN 55323-0066 <br />Rc: Application for Conditional Use Permit by Ault and Ginther- Agenda Item No. <br />2571- to be Heard by the Planning Commission on Monday, April 17,2000 <br />Dear Commissioners: <br />1 Introduction <br />I represent Dick and Marlys Ogle who live at 277 1 Shadywood Road, Richard and Sue <br />Gay ^^ ho live at 2735 Shadywood Road and Jim Zimmerman who lives at 2745 Shadvwood <br />Ro^. These individuals arc residents of Orono and live in single fai,.-!y homes adjacent or near <br />to the priycrty for which Mr. Ault and Mr. Ginther are seeking a conditional use permit to allow <br />the use of a small parcel of property for two large permstnent docks. <br />My clients are veiy concerned about the impact of the past, present and potential future <br />use of those docks and activities on the property on the neighborhood and related thereto, the <br />impact m the past, present and future from the use of the other very small lots in the area for <br />permanent docks, as will be discussed more hereinafter. <br />I have met with my clients to review the history of the use of the above properties, the <br />impact of that use on their properties and the neighborhood and to inspect the area involved <br />Richard Gay and Jim Zim.ucrman and I met with City Staff recently to discuss the issues and to <br />review the City records relating to the prior and present use of the property and docks that are <br />subject to the present application and the related docks adjacent thereto. <br />0 ii02 <br />)7srrBOM
