Wj^l)--- ^ f^.fp- <br />y>^ f" <br />\v/ <br />A RESOLUTION GRANTING PRELIMINARY <br />APPROVAL FOR THE PI.ATTING <br />OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />725 SIXTH AVENUE NORTH <br />-FILE NO. 2480 r ,> ^ <br />WHEREAS, Spring Hill Golf Club (hereinafter the ''applicants'* or the "Club") on <br />March 25,1999, filed a formal subdivision application with the City for approval of a plat and for <br />vacation and rededication of drainage easements for property legally described as: <br />EXHIBIT A (Attached) <br />(hereinafter "the property"); and <br />WHEREAS, after due published and mailed notice in accordance with Minnesota <br />Statutes 462.358 et. seq. and the City of Orono's Zoning and Subdivision Codes, the Orono <br />Planning Commission held a public hearing on April 19, 1999 at which times all persons <br />desiring to be heard concerning this application were given the opportunity to speak thereon; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, after due consideration the Planning Commission on April 19, 1999 <br />voted 5-0 to recommend approval of the proposed plat; and <br />WHEREAS, at their regular meeting held on May 10, 1999 the Orono City <br />Council considered the plat and easement vacation application of the applicants and noted the <br />following findings of fact: <br />1.The property is located within the RR-IB and RR-lB-1 Single Family Rural <br />Residential ^nlng Districts requiring a minimum of two acres of contiguous dry <br />buildable land within each newly created lot. <br />2.The property contains a total of approximately 200 acres of land, including a <br />numbef of natural wetlands, drainageways and ponding areas. <br />Page 1 of 6 <br />1 <br />^^■I TT ,^—-
