Map of Carlson Property
Mr. Alan Carlson owns a 29.2 acre property just north ofthe Crystal Creek development west of Old
Crystal Bay Road and south of the Burlington Northern Railroad. He has generously decided to
donate the property to the City. The property is a beautiful natural area that will be a wonderful asset
to the City as public land.
The City Attorney is in the process of drafting a resolution accepting the land donation from Mr.
Carlson. The resolution will be provided at the Council meeting.
This property will be substantially affected by the right-of-way acquisition for the Highway 12
upgrade project. To avoid any problems or delays regarding Mn/DOT’s acquisition of the necessary
right-of-way that is a part of ^is property, the resolution specifically notes that a portion of the
property will be acquired by Mn/DOT.
COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED:
Motion to adopt the resolution accepting the donation of the 29.2 acre property north of the Crystal
Creek development from Mr. Alan Carlson.
