Wayzata Marine was issued its 2000 license in February as it was a site under new <br />ownership. Staff normally inspects each marina in mid-season and the City has typically issued <br />annual licenses shortly after the inspections. We have now completed inspections on each of the <br />other 4 marinas and are recommending approval of their annual licenses for 2000. <br />Fire Safety Inspections <br />In 1999 the City began contracting for the services of a Fire Marshal who has inspected all the <br />marinas for compliance with State Fire Code regulations, and at this time I am informed that all are <br />in compliance. <br />Conditions of License Approval <br />Section 5.43, Subd. 5(C), requires that each business licensee shall adhere to the following minimum <br />operation standards: <br />1. <br />2. <br />3. <br />4. <br />5. <br />Parking facilities on the site shall be managed so as to eliminate traffic or parking <br />congestion, eliminate illegal on-street parking, and avoid pedestrian traffic through <br />neighboring property. <br />Boat engine testing and charging shall be limited to the hours 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. <br />Retail sales and service shall be limited to the hours 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. except <br />as necessary to accommodate normal fishing activity or private use of premises <br />stored boats. <br />The site shall be kept neat and orderly, and free of garbage. <br />On-land storage of boats shall be managed so as to eliminate any view obstructions <br />for traffic entering and leaving the site.
