Walker and Patricia A. Walker, (hereinafter "the applicants") <br />are the owners of the property located at 1368 North Arm Drive within the City of Orono (hereinafter <br />"the City") and legally described as follows: <br />Lots 21, 22, and 23, Block 8, “Saga Hill Revised”, Hennepin County, Minnesota <br />(hereinafler "the property"); and <br />WHEREAS, the applicants have applied to the City for a variance to Municipal <br />Zoning Code Section 10.24, Subdivision 5 (B) to allow a side yard setback of 4.5' where 10' is <br />required to permit an addition to the existing residence. <br />WHEREAS, after due published notice and mailed notice in accordance with <br />Minnesota Statutes and the City of Orcno Zoning and Planning Codes, the Orono Planning <br />Commission held a public hearing on September 18,2000, at which time all persons desiring to be <br />heard concerning this application were given the opportunity to speak thereon. <br />Minnesota: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br />FINDINGS <br />1. <br />2. <br />This application was reviewed as Zoning File #2618. <br />This property is located in the LR-IB Zoning District, where 1 acre is the minimum <br />lot area.
