•t <br />{:ih.- <br />il: <br />I <br />1. <br />2. <br />3. <br />4. <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING <br />THE CITY’S MEMBERSHIP IN THE <br />ORONO AREA SPORTS ALLIANCE <br />The Orono Area Sports Alliance (OASA) is being formed to improve communication, <br />coordination and planning between the Orono School District, the youth sports associations, <br />and the cities in the Orono School District. <br />The City of Orono has been invited to participate in the OASA. <br />There are substantial benefits to participating in an organization that brings together the key <br />stakeholders involved in the provision of youth sports activities in the Orono School District. <br />Membership in the OASA requires the designation of a representative from Orono to serve <br />on the OASA Board of Directors. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Orono City Council does <br />hereby authorize the City’s membership in the Orono Area Sports Alliance, with the City’s Pubic <br />Services Director and City Administrator designated as the City’s representative and alternate <br />representative, respectively, on the Board of Directors; and does also authorize the City <br />Administrator to sign the recreation agreement of the Orono Area Sports Alliance. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting <br />held this 14th day of August, 2000. <br />Gabriel Jabbour, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Linda S.
