The presentation will include an update regarding <br />Maple Plain Fire Department activities, and a proposal regarding the purchase of a new firefighting <br />apparatus. The proposed new piece of firefighting equipment is an aerial truck, which is a ladder <br />truck that can be used to access the roofs of taller buildings. Because the Department has fimding <br />built into its budget for equipment purchases, and because Orono’s share of the total budget is <br />relatively small, the City ’s share of the cost of the aerial truck will be small. Chief Eisinger will <br />present the cost information at the meeting. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />No action required. <br />J
