Gappa <br />Title Director of Public Services <br />Administrator Reviewed:Agenda Section: <br />Public Services Report <br />Item Description: Approve Purchase of New Furnace for Crystal Bay Post Office <br />The 2000 Capital Outlay Budget includes $5,600 for replacement of the furnace and air <br />conditioner at the Crystal Bay Post Office. The existing oil furnace was installed in 1959, and the <br />above ground fuel oil tank, behind the building, is rusting and does not meet current code <br />requirements. A new natural gas furnace will be installed. The existing window unit air <br />conditioner will be replaced with a more energy efficient central air conditioner. Below is <br />tabulation of quotes received for this project <br />.4 City View Plumbing and Heating, Long Lake Minnesota <br />Vogt Heating and Air Conditioning, St. Louis Park Minnesota <br />$4,970.00 <br />$3,975.00 <br />We are recommending approval of the quotation from Vogt Heating and Air Conditioning, St. <br />Louis Park Minnesota in the amount of $3,975.00 <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Approve quotation for installation of a new furnace and air conditioner for the Crystal Bay Post <br />Office building from Vogt Heating and Air Conditioning, St. Louis Park Minnesota in the amount <br />of $3,975.00 to be funded from the 2000 Capital Outlay Budget.
