There <br />were several open positions. One of the new employees has resigned because of health reasons <br />Three positions have been filled and Council approval is required to hire the proposed <br />candidates. <br />The Golf Course seasonal employees are hired under two different provisions of the PERA rules. <br />The main employees, who work the most hours, are hired under the 6-month rule which allows <br />unlimited earnings for a 6-month maximum time period. The original plan was to hire three six <br />month employees who would work more hours. We have been unable to find candidates willing <br />to work a lot of hours, so more employees working fewer hours will be hired.
