The purpose of this item is to gain Council Approval to accept the proposal for lawn <br />mowing services for 2023-2025. <br /> <br />2. Background. The latest three-year mowing contract ended in 2022. Parks Department staff solicited <br />quotes for 2023-2025 annual lawn mowing services and proposals were received from 4 contractors. <br /> <br />3. Project Scope. The scope of work includes the mowing of selected parks and city property (see <br />exhibit A) from April through November. The agreement for park mowing services is for 3 years, <br />providing the company is continuing to provide high quality work. <br /> <br />4. Cost. Funding. Mowing is funded through the Park Operation and Maintenance budget and the Central <br />Services budget. <br /> <br />6. Staff Recommendation. Staff recommends acceptance of the quotation of $90,000 received from <br />Shaughnessy Lawn Care. Shaughnessy Lawn Care was awarded the 2020-2022 mowing contract and is <br />familiar with the service needs of the parks in Orono. <br /> <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion to accept the proposal from Shaughnessy Lawn Care for park mowing services for the 2023-2025 <br />seasons in the amount of $90,000. <br /> <br />Exhibit <br />A.
