The purpose of this action item is to gain approval for the disposal of a firearm. <br /> <br />2. Background / Summary. The police department has acquired two firearms that were given to the <br />police department for department use and is seeking approval to use/sell the firearm. An addition firearm <br />was acquired through a court action. The firearms will be sold to a reputable firearms dealer and if there <br />is no value to the firearm, the firearm will be destroyed by Public Works. <br /> <br />3. Main Paragraph.
