- 1 - <br />BYLAWS OF THE HOUSING AND <br />REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br /> <br />ARTICLE I – THE AUTHORITY <br /> <br /> Section 1. Name of Authority. The name of the Authority shall be the “Housing and <br />Redevelopment Authority of Orono, Minnesota”. <br /> Section 2. Seal of Authority. The seal of the Authority shall be in the form of a circle <br />and shall bear the name of the Authority and the year of its organization. <br /> Section 3. Office of Authority. The offices of the Authority shall be at City offices of <br />the City of Orono, State of Minnesota, but the Authority may hold its meetings at such other <br />place or places as it may designate by resolution. <br />ARTICLE II – COMMISSIONERS <br /> Section 1. The five members of the Orono City Council shall serve as Commissioners of <br />the HRA pursuant to the Resolution of City Council Resolution 2998, passed on July 22, 1991 <br />and amended on August 12, 1991. Pursuant to the same resolution a Commissioner’s term of <br />office shall be concurrent with their term as City Council members. A successor Council <br />member shall succeed to a term as Commissioner upon taking the oath of office as a Council <br />member. <br />ARTICLE III – OFFICERS <br /> Section 1. Officers. The officers of the Authority shall be a Chairman, a Vice-Chairman, <br />and a Secretary. <br />Section 2. Chairman. The Chairman shall preside at all meetings of the Authority. <br />Except as otherwise authorized by resolution of the Authority, the Chairman shall sign all <br />contracts, deeds and other instruments made by the Authority.
