The purpose of the action item is to consider joining the Joint Cooperative Agreement for <br />use of Fire Personnel and Equipment. <br />2.Background / Summary. The Orono Fire Department will be an active participant in the west <br />suburbs automatic aid/mutual aid/box alarm system. The intent is to make equipment, personnel and <br />other resources available to other cities fire departments in their time of need and to be able to request the <br />same in our time of need. The agreement allows the Orono Fire Department the ability to make such a <br />request within the automatic aid/mutual aid/box alarm system. It also spells out who is response for what <br />and what types of charges are allowed. <br />3.Staff Recommendation. Staff has drafted an approval resolution for Council’s consideration.
