The purpose of this action item is to gain approval to accept a donations. <br /> <br />2. Background. The Police Department has received a $500 donation from the Crime Prevention fund <br />to be used to purchase 25 $20 gift cards. The gift cards would then be used when officers encounter a <br />person that is in need of immediate financial assistance. <br /> <br />3. Staff Recommendation. I recommend approval to accept the $500 donation. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion for approval to accept $500 donation from the Crime Prevention Fund to purchase 25 $20.00 gift <br />cards to be used when officers encounter an individual in need of immediate financial assistance.
