AGENDA ITEM <br />Prepared By: NAN Reviewed By: LLO Approved By: <br />1.Purpose. This application is proposing to expand an existing oversize accessory building and make <br />site improvements to the property. A Conditional Use Permit and Variance is being requested. <br />2.MN§15.99 Application Deadline. The application was received on October 19, 2022 and <br />considered to be complete on October 27, 2022. Therefore the 60-Day review period expires on <br />December 26, 2022. <br />3.Background/ Summary. The applicant is requesting a variance to exceed the limit of 1 Oversized <br />Accessory Building (OAB) on a lot and a Conditional Use Permit for a golf course use to construct an <br />addition to an existing accessory structure that serves the Woodhill Country Club, an existing golf course <br />use. The proposed expansion is to the barn building on the site which is used for dining and events. The <br />total square footage of the accessory structure after the addition is approximately 5,115 square feet. The <br />barn building is one of five (5) OAB’s on the property. Additionally, the project includes improvements <br />to the site including parking area, drives and landscaping. All other zoning setbacks and requirements are <br />met. <br />4.Planning Commission Vote and Comment. On November 21, 2022, the Planning Commission held <br />a public hearing. No public comments were made. The commission discussed the property improvements <br />and supported the proposed changes. Following the public hearing the Planning Commission voted 4 to 0 <br />on a motion to approve the requested variance as applied. <br />5.Public Comment. No public comments were received. <br />6.Staff Recommendation.
