Hoisington Koegler Group Inc. was established in 1982 with a practice <br />that focused on urban and regional planning. Since then, additional <br />disciplines have been added, and the firm has evolved to the point where <br />projects are balanced between the disciplines of planning, landscape <br />architecture and urban design. HKGi currently has a staff of eight <br />landscape architects and three urban planners. <br />HKGi has established a reputation for e.xcellence in conceptual design, <br />detail design and community, land use and environmental planning] <br />including projects related to master planning, downtown and <br />redevelopment planning, and site design. Our recent e.xperience includes <br />projects from the Twin Cities area and other locations that have similar <br />goals as Long Lake. Most significantly, HKGi has been involved in <br />many downtown master planning and redevelopment planning efforts, <br />each of which deal with issues of creating a sense of place, encouraging <br />private sector investment and fostering a pedestrian environment, and <br />signficant part of those efforts is the creation of policies and guidelines <br />for both public and private sector development activities.
